Reverend Russell Zimmerman
I am a pastor of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. I received my Associates Arts degree from Concordia Lutheran Junior College in Ann Arbor, Michigan and my Bachelors degree from the Senior College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, Illinois in 1975 and was called to serve a congregation in Taylor, Michigan.
After retiring I moved to Bay City Michigan to help my sister care for my father. Currently I serve as a volunteer hospital chaplain and I minister to people who reside in nursing homes. Additionally, Two years ago I helped start a special ministry to people with vision or hearing difficulties in Bay City which currently ministers to about 100 people.
My two hour program is called “Peace in the midst of pieces.” the format is approximately one hour of music and commentary followed by a message from the Bible. I enjoy this opportunity to do Gods work and to minister in this way. Of course people are encouraged to submit requests for spiritual music and to make comments and ask questions and I am, of course, always open to suggestions for biblical topics for future programs. It is my hope that Peace In The Midst Of Pieces will be an outreach for the Gospel of Christ.
